EFIは、デュアルCMYKセットアップ用に再構成されたVutekワイドフォーマットプリンタ（HS125 F4およびHS100）の2つの新しいF4バージョンを発表しました。
EFI launched this 8-colour Vutek HS 125 Pro at Fespa 2016.
These printers have eight colour channels – the original models used CMYK plus light colours – so using two sets of CMYK allows for faster printing, up to 225 boards per hour on the HS125 F4 and up to 190 boards per hour on the HS100 F4. The inks themselves have been reformulated to allow them to cure at the higher print speed with the existing curing set up of the original models
これらのプリンタには8つのカラーチャンネルがあります。元のモデルにはCMYKとL（Light系：淡色）が使用されています。このため、2セットのCMYKを使用すると、HS125 F4では時間当たり225枚、HS100 F4では1時間あたり最大190枚までのボードを印刷できます。インク自体は、元のモデルの既存の硬化条件そのままでを用いて、より高速のプリントでも硬化することができるように改良されています。
Inevitably the image quality will suffer without the light colours so these are really aimed at long distance viewing applications such as billboards, which also allow for faster, lower quality modes. Otherwise, the F4 printers appear to offer the same features as the original models, including pin and cure, variable-drop grayscale imaging, and full- and semi-automated materials handling.
画質は淡色が無いと、淡色がある場合に比べて劣るのは避けられないので、高速・低画質でもよう広告ボードなどの遠くから見るアプリケーションをターゲットとしています。その他の点は、F4プリンタは、ピン・アンド・キュア、可変ドロップ・グレースケール・イメージング、全自動および半自動マテリアル・ハンドリングなど、元のモデルと同じ機能を備えているようです。
Ken Hanulec, vice president of marketing for EFI Inkjet, commented: “These two new printers run more than 50% faster, and a speed boost like this gives our customers an important new opportunity to increase their margins.”

It is possible to convert the original printers to the F4 specification, but only those printers that have been bought since the beginning of this year, which suggests that there may have been further changes to the hardware. Naturally EFI won’t confirm the price of the printers or the conversion or go into much detail about the printers themselves so it’s impossible to say if this is likely to be a good investment.
今年初め以降に購入された従来機種に限って、F4仕様にアップグレードすることが可能です。なんらかのハードウェアぼ設計変更があったということでしょう。もちろん、EFIはプリンタの価格やアップグレードの費用やプリンタの詳細に関してはコメントを避けているので、これがユーザーにとって良い投資になるかどうかははっきり申せません。
