FESPAが延期を決定しました。朝から LinkedInでも情報が飛び交っています。
LinkedInでは主催者からの延期発表の他に、ロシアの大判機メーカーは「モスクワでプライベートショーを開催するから来て頂戴！」とか「メッセ・デュッセルドルフが３月中のイベントを中止！」など様々な情報・アナウンスが飛び交っています。

既にそれについて記事を書いていて、明日の朝に公開されます。また、少なくとも印刷業界に関する限り、このウイルスが及ぼす影響について、数日でより広いストーリーを書くことも考えています。
フェスパによると、ショーは延期されたばかりですが、今年後半にどうやって再編成できるのか、私には本当にわかりません。 ウイルスがまだ活動している間、彼らは次の数か月間何もすることができず、その後、Drupaと夏休みに出くわします。しかし、彼らが遅すぎると、2020年のショーは2021年のショーにノックオン効果をもたらします。

ヨーロッパ本土でのCOVID-19の急速な発展状況と、各国の協会や出展者との緊密な対話を踏まえ、FESPAは本日、当初IFEMAマドリードで2020年3月24日から27日に開催される予定であったFESPA Global Print Expo 2020、European Sign Expo 2020、Sportswear Pro 2020を延期する決定を下しました。
FESPAは、出展者からのフィードバックに基づいて、会場の空き状況に基づいて決定される予定の、後日、正確なタイミングと会場のためにイベントのスケジュールを変更するようになりました。
FESPA CEOのニール・フェルトンは次のように説明しています。「今週まで、中国からの企業の出展に関して2月に行われた先制措置を含むCOVID-19に関する当社の行動は、関連する国際および国内当局からのガイダンスによって通知されました。出展者と訪問者の健康と福祉を保護する主な目的。しかし、ヨーロッパ本土の特定の地域でのウイルスの最近の広がりに照らして、私たちは利害関係者と相談し、後日までイベントを延期することはコミュニティの最善の利益であると結論付けました。」

In light of the rapidly evolving situation regarding COVID-19 in mainland Europe, and in close dialogue with its national Associations and exhibitors, FESPA has today taken the decision to postpone FESPA Global Print Expo 2020, European Sign Expo 2020 and Sportswear Pro 2020, originally scheduled to take place at IFEMA Madrid from 24 to 27 March 2020.
Based on feedback from exhibitors, FESPA will now seek to reschedule the events for a later date, precise timing and venue still to be determined based on venue availability.
FESPA CEO Neil Felton explains: “Until this week, our actions with regard to COVID-19 – including the pre-emptive action taken in February regarding exhibiting companies from China – have been informed by guidance from the relevant international and national authorities, with the primary objective of safeguarding the health and wellbeing of exhibitors and visitors. However, in light of the recent spread of the virus in specific areas of mainland Europe, we have consulted with our stakeholders and have concluded that it is in the best interests of our community to defer the events to a later date.”
FESPA will provide an update regarding revised event dates in due course.
