Hinojosa buys two more Nozomi corrugated presses
The Spanish company Hinojosa, which was the first company to install an EFI Nozomi press, has now invested in two further Nozomi C18000 presses to accelerate its push into the digitally-printed packaging sector.
Spanish packaging company Hinojosa has installed three EFI Nozomi C18000 corrugated presses.

Hinojosa is a family run business, with 12 production plants and 1300 staff. The company produces some 750 million square metres of corrugated cardboard every year, with a turnover of €353 million. It mainly serves the food market, including fresh fruit, fish and preserves, as well as wines, toys, household products and toiletries, producing packaging and point of sale displays.

The group uses a range of print technologies, including flexo and offset, and prints to corrugated, cartonboard, plasticboard and solidboard. It’s pioneered the use of digital printing in the packaging sector, having been the first company to install a Barberan Jetmaster 1260 single pass inkjet press at the end of 2013. This was followed by the first Nozomi C18000 in April 2017, and the company is now in the process of adding two more Nozomis.

Both of these new machines are configured with six colours – CMYK plus orange and violet – as well as white ink, which will improve the impact of images printed directly on brown kraft liner. Hinojosa can produce up to 10,000 89x89cm boards per hour on each of its Nozomis, thanks to double line printing capabilities.
