Scodix launches two new finishing presses
Scodix, which has developed a range of digital enhancement presses, has launched two new models, the Ultra 101 and Ultra 202, which appear to have replaced the previous product range. The Scodix machines allow printers to add a range of additional effects to add value to print jobs.
The Ultra 202 is Scodix’s flagship enhancement press, with up to nine different effects available.

The Ultra 202 will be Scodix’s flagship device. It is a fully-featured machine, offering all nine of the Scodix effects in a single machine. However, it’s worth noting that four of these – VDE/VDP, Cast&Cure, Braille and Crystal – are optional extras and not part of the standard configuration.

The Ultra 101 is an entry-level machine that’s said to be fully compatible with offset and HP Indigo presses. It offers four enhancements as standard – Sense, Foil, Metallic and Glitter – plus VDE and Cast&Cure as optional extras. It can also produce combinations of all of these effects. It’s been demonstrated this week alongside a HP Indigo 12000 HD Digital press. Alon Bar-Shany, general manager for HP Indigo, commented: “The introduction of the new Scodix Ultra 101 is further testament to the company’s innovation and will increase applications and business opportunities for HP Indigo customers.”
