アメリカのインクメーカー INX Internationalは、2020年前半までに完了する予定の取引でドイツのインクメーカーRuco Druckfarbenを買収する予定です。
American ink manufacturer INX International is set to acquire the German ink manufacturer Ruco Druckfarben in a deal that is expected to complete by the end of the first half of 2020.
Ruco Druckfarben is based in Eppstein, Germany.

ドイツのエップシュタインに本拠を置く Ruco Druckfarbenは 1857年に設立されました。現在、従業員は約 150人で、70か国以上に代表者がいます。グラビア印刷、フレキソ印刷、オフセット印刷、スクリーン印刷など、幅広いインクを生産しています。
Ruco Druckfarben, which is based in Eppstein in Germany, was founded in 1857. Today employs some 150 people, with representatives in more than 70 countries. It produces a wide range of inks, including gravure, flexo and offset as well as screen printing.
INX Europeの Peter Lockley社長は、次のように説明しています。「Rucoは、かなりの市場経験と技術的知識を備えた、定評のあるインクサプライヤです。新会社は、グローバルなリーチ、製品開発、原材料調達能力とともに、INXのヨーロッパでの存在感を強化するために取り組みます。」
Peter Lockley, President of INX Europe, explained: “Ruco is an established and recognized ink supplier with considerable market experience and technical knowledge. Together with our global reach, product development and raw material sourcing capabilities, the new company will work to strengthen INX’s presence in Europe.”
北米で 3番目に大きいインクの生産者である INXは、1992年に Midland Colorと Acmeの合併により設立されました。1896年に大阪で設立されたサカタINXの一部です。
INX, which is the third largest producer of inks in North America, was formed out of the merger of Midland Color and Acme in 1992. It’s part of Sakata INX which was itself founded in 1896 in Osaka.
Lockley氏は、INXは両社のテクノロジーの統合に注力し、次のように述べています。「この投資により、当社はポートフォリオを前進させ、玩具、医薬品、包装業界のサプライヤーとしての Rucoのリードポジションを拡大する予定です。お客様は、親会社であるサカタINXのより大きな世界的プレゼンスから活用された世界クラスのテクノロジーとベストプラクティスへのアクセスがより大きくなります。」
Lockley says that INX will focus on combining the technologies of the two companies together, adding: “With this investment, we plan to advance their portfolio and expand Ruco’s lead position as a supplier to the toy, pharmaceutical and packaging industries. Customers will have greater access to the world-class technologies and best practices leveraged from the larger global presence of our parent company, Sakata INX.”
2015年から Ruco Druckfarbenの経営チームの一員である Moritz Hartmannは、取引が完了するとマネージングディレクターとして就任します。
Moritz Hartmann, who has been part of Ruco Druckfarben’s management team since 2015, will take over as managing director once the deal is complete.
